John Pearson boxes

Pearson produced boxes throughout his career, although my suspicion is that the greater production was in the mid to later period. They are often marked with the JP initials and a date, but some are unmarked, and some just have the initials.

The box dated 1891 is unusual in that respect, both in date and also stylistically, with the rope twist border and the finial. I suspect he was influenced by John Williams.
